For commercial operators: USCG guidance allows ENC-derived paper charts to satisfy domestic chart carriage requirements when printed and kept current per NVIC 01-16 Change 3.

Are these official NOAA charts?

They’re generated from NOAA’s official Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs) using NOAA’s Custom Chart system, then exported as a print-ready PDF.

Are they up to date?

NCC charts pull from NOAA’s latest ENC data at the time you generate/re-export the chart. Re-exporting refreshes the chart with the newest updates.

Do they meet USCG requirements?

For domestic US operations, the USCG recognizes ENC-derived paper charts as an acceptable method to meet chart carriage requirements when produced and maintained per USCG guidance (NVIC 01-16 Change 3). Requirements vary by route and vessel type—check with your OCMI/inspector if you’re unsure.

Are they SOLAS compliant?

SOLAS/international chart carriage rules may require additional standards. If you operate under SOLAS, confirm your specific carriage requirements.
